titleOfInvention | Polycarbonate composition having γ-ray resistance |
abstract | (57) Summary [Structure] The present invention relates to a polycarbonate composition having γ-ray resistance. The composition of the present invention has the formula: However, in the formula, hal is bromine or chlorine, n is about 10 to 40, x represents 1 to 5, containing from about 0.05 to about 5.0% by weight of end-capped poly (alkyl oxide). The composition of the present invention was found to have the resistance to yellowing characteristic of γ-irradiated polycarbonate. The composition of the present invention not only shows a small initial change in color when exposed to γ-rays, but also a small degree of yellowing after long-term storage. |
