titleOfInvention | Fuels for gasoline engines with enhanced properties |
abstract | (57) [Summary] (Modified) [Objective] To provide a method and a composition for reducing the emission of toxic compounds emitted by a spark ignition internal combustion engine and the maximum reactivity of exhaust products. The base fuel blend component and at least one cyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl compound are blended together in an amount corresponding to no more than about 0.03 grams of manganese per gallon. [Effect] It has an appropriate octane value, reduces the emission of toxic compounds, and reduces the possibility of terrestrial ozone production, smog production, and other adverse effects on air pollution. |
