abstract | (57) [Summary] [Purpose] A liquid crystal display device of high display quality is obtained at low cost by reducing interface reflection. [Structure] By providing a layer having a refractive index larger than that of the liquid crystal layer 3 just outside the light scattering liquid crystal layer 3, scattered light 5 from the liquid crystal layer 3 is reflected at an interface, and the liquid crystal layer 3 is also reflected. It partially prevents the light from returning and prevents the deterioration of the contrast due to the interface reflected light. |
