Sterilizable sealed glass container and manufacturing method thereof |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Purpose] At least one gas is dissolved and contained, A sterilizable sealed container for containing a calibrant or standard fluid for blood gas analysis is provided. A glass container having at least one opening 16. The dimensions of the opening 16 are in the range of just the right size for the inflow and outflow of the fluid to the size of the smallest surface of the container. A rim 18 extends around the opening 16. The vial is not completely filled, leaving a head space 26 inside. Headspace 26 is 1 to 99 for liquid It is present in the vial in a volume percentage. The vial 10 is sealed with an air impermeable seal 20 consisting of an adhesive polymer in contact with the vial and an outer metal surface. Prior to heat-sealing or induction-sealing the vial, the seal is secured to the vial, such as with a cap or chemical coupling agent. The vial may be subjected to any sterilization depending on the purpose of application. |
