Electrorheological fluid composition |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Purpose] To provide an electrorheological fluid that generates large shear stress and is excellent in current characteristics and stability over time. [Structure] An electrorheological fluid composition obtained by dispersing sulfonated polymer particles obtained by sulfonation of a polymerized crosslinked product of a vinyl aromatic compound and a polyvinyl compound in an electrically insulating liquid. An inorganic compound that is soluble in acidic water is added to the suspension of the crosslinked product to aggregate the polymerized crosslinked product and then separate it from the suspension to synthesize the polymerized crosslinked product. |
