abstract (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide an inexpensive synthetic method of an optically active glycidol derivative having a protecting group which is stable under various reaction conditions and which can be removed under mild conditions. [Structure] 1-halogeno-3- (4-methoxyphenyloxy) -2-propanol having a racemic or low optical purity represented by the general formula (3) is reacted with vinyl acetate in an organic solvent using lipase as a catalyst. , (R) -1-halogeno-3- (4-methoxyphenyloxy) -2-propylacetate represented by the general formula (2) and (S) -1-halogeno-represented by the general formula (1). 3- (4-Methoxyphenyloxy) -2-propanol was obtained, and this compound was further reacted with an alkali in an organic solvent to give a compound of formula (4) (R) -O- (4-methoxyphenyloxy) glycidol represented by or (S) -O- represented by formula (5) (4-Methoxyphenyloxy) glycidol is obtained. [Chemical 1] (In the formula, X represents a halogen atom and Ac represents an acetyl group.)
