Iridescent transparent transparent window glass article |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Objective] A glazing having an anti-iridescent coating that is tolerant to deviations in the thickness and refractive index of the anti-iridescent and optically functional coating. A substantially transparent substrate, an optically functional layer on the surface of the substrate having a refractive index larger than that of the substrate, and a substrate thinner than the optically functional layer and the surface of the substrate. A first high-refractive-index layer, which is formed between the optically functional layer and an anti-iridescence layer, and wherein the anti-iridescence layer has a refractive index larger than that of the substrate, and is immediately above the substrate surface. Index region, a first low refractive index region on the first high refractive index region having a smaller refractive index than the first high refractive index region, the low refractive index having a larger refractive index than the first low refractive index region An anti-iridescence layer having a second high refractive index region on the index region and a second low refractive index region on the second high refractive index region having a lower refractive index than the second high refractive index region. A substantially transparent glazing article. |
