titleOfInvention | Process for producing polymer having antiviral activity |
abstract | (57) [Summary] (Modified) [Objective] To provide a method for producing a polymer having antiviral activity. [Structure] Starting from an oligosaccharide or a polysaccharide having a specific structure, a polymer having a specific number of carbonyl groups is obtained by oxidation, and the carbonyl group of the oxidized oligosaccharide or polysaccharide is treated with water or water. And a water-miscible solvent under a specific temperature, time and pH condition to react an amino group such as an aliphatic amino sulfonate with an amino group of a molecule having a sulfonic acid group to give a sulfonic acid. A polymer containing groups is obtained and is purified by customary methods. The resulting sulfated polymer has antiviral activity and low or no toxicity and anticoagulant activity, and is used for local or global antiviral treatment of humans and animals. It is used for the preparation of a medicament. |
