A piezoelectric vibrating piece characterized in that at least a part of the surface of the piezoelectric vibrating piece is coated with a transition metal. And a piezoelectric vibrator in which the above-described piezoelectric vibrating piece is attached to a base having at least two lead terminals and sealed with a case. And a method of manufacturing a piezoelectric vibrator, wherein the piezoelectric vibrator described above is heated and sealed when the base and the case are sealed.
