abstract | (57) [Summary] [Structure] Crosslinked polymer composition obtained by metathesis polymerization of dicyclopentadiene monomer in which chlorinated polymer such as chlorinated elastomer or chlorinated polypropylene is dissolved; Ring-opened dicyclopentadiene polymer A cross-linked dicyclopentadiene polymer composition comprising a polymer and a chlorinated polymer soluble in dicyclopentadiene; and two streams of reactive component liquids, one of which comprises dicyclopentadiene and a ring-opening metathesis catalyst. The other contains a catalyst activator, but the chlorinated polymer is added to either stream, the two streams are combined, and they are polymerized by dicyclopentadiene. A method of preparing a crosslinked polymer composition comprising pouring into a similar molding container. The dicyclopentadiene polymer obtained by this method has an elevated heat deflection temperature and glass transition temperature. |
