(57) [Summary] [Constitution] The present invention is characterized by reacting a halogenophenylthioglycolic acid represented by the general formula (I) with a sulfide in a solvent in the presence of a base. Relates to a method for producing a halogenothiophenol. According to the present invention, the corresponding halogenothiophenol can be easily obtained by reacting halogenophenylthioglycolic acid with a sulfide in a solvent in the presence of a base. At the same time, S-substituted thioglycolic acid is obtained as a by-product. Since the desired halogenothiophenol can be obtained in such a short process in a high yield, it is an economically and industrially advantageous method, and since no heavy metals are used at all, it is pointed out in the known methods. There are no problems such as environmental pollution. |
