(57) [Summary] [Object] To provide an electrode and a battery having excellent Ah efficiency and high energy density in a wide temperature range. [Structure] (1) A nickel hydroxide electrode comprising a hydroxide active material having a cobalt content of 10 to 20 wt% with respect to nickel and cobalt and an active material holder having a porosity of 86 to 98%. (2) An alkaline secondary battery which uses it as a positive electrode and uses an aqueous solution of a mixed solution of potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide mainly composed of sodium hydroxide as an electrolyte. |
