abstract (57) [Abstract] [Objective] Condensation polymer composed of sulfonated phenol, urea, other organic nitrogen bases and formaldehyde [Constitution] (A) Sulfonating phenol with 1.0 to 1.5 mol of sulfonic acid per mol of phenol , (B) these sulfonation products are (a) 0.5-1.8 mol of urea per mol of phenol, (b) Produced by condensing with 0.001 to 0.5 mol of at least one other organic nitrogen base per mol of phenol and (c) 1.0 to 3.0 formaldehyde per mol of phenol. [Effect] The condensation polymer is suitable as a tanning agent and a spraying aid for redispersible powders in the leather manufacturing industry.
