abstract | (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To provide a metal halide lamp device equipped with a reflecting mirror which prevents the temperature rise of the coldest part due to stagnation of air, delays devitrification, and extends the life. [Structure] A base 6 having a blower nozzle 5 integrally formed on the upper side is provided at one end of an arc tube 1 in which a metal halide is enclosed and a heat insulating film 2 is formed around the electrodes, and the base 6 is located at the bottom to emit light. A reflector 7 with a cold mirror is attached so as to surround the tube 1. And at the opening end of the reflecting mirror 7, Upper, lower, left and right ventilation cutouts 8a, 8b, 8c, 8d are provided. |
