(57) [Summary] [Structure] At least three magnetic layers, the outermost magnetic layer 4 contains barium ferrite magnetic powder having a coercive force of 1000 Oe or more, and a dry film thickness of 0.2 to 0.5 μm. The magnetic layer 5 of the intermediate layer contains barium ferrite magnetic powder having a coercive force of 1300 Oe or more, and has a dry film thickness of 0.2 to 0.5 μm, The lower magnetic layer 2 contains a cobalt-containing iron oxide magnetic powder having a coercive force of 900 to 1300 Oe and a dry film thickness of 1.0 μm or more. [Effect] It is possible to provide a magnetic recording medium suitable for high-band 8 mm video or S-VHS video and capable of high-density recording. |
