abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] By replacing PuO 2 with a specified non-nuclear fuel substance in place of uranium oxide in the same shape as a fuel assembly using conventional uranium fuel, it is possible to obtain conventional uranium fuel. With the same external shape, and with the same nuclear and thermo-hydraulic characteristics, less energy is generated with less Pu than the conventional MOX, and more efficient use of Pu is achieved. [Composition] A fuel assembly for exclusive use of plutonium, wherein Z Non-nuclear fuel materials such as rO 2 , MgO, Al 2 O 3 and ZrC that have relatively high melting points, good heat transfer properties, little deformation and expansion due to neutron irradiation, and relatively small neutron absorption are also used. As a base material, PuO 2 is mixed with the non-nuclear fuel material as the base material to form pellets, and at the same time, a fuel assembly having the same shape as UO 2 fuel and MOX fuel and having equivalent nuclear characteristics.
