abstract | (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a coating composition containing a catechol derivative which is a urushiol analogue as a main component and useful as a paint, an adhesive, a rust preventive, a waterproofing agent and the like. [Structure] At least one catechol selected from 3- (9'z, 12'z, 15'z-octadecatrienyl) catechol and 3- (9'z, 12'z-octadecadienyl) catechol Derivative 100 parts by weight, vegetable mucus 2-20 Parts by weight and 0.001-1 parts by weight of oxidase. [Effect] It has an alkenyl group at the 3-position of the catechol nucleus, and the alkenyl group has 2 to 3 double bonds, and is mainly composed of a catechol derivative very similar to urushiol. It forms a coating film that has surface hardness, weather resistance and appearance comparable to that of the coating film. In particular, the coating composition according to the invention containing water can be said to be very close to natural lacquer. Therefore, such a coating composition is useful as a paint material in daily necessities, industrial materials and arts and crafts. |
