titleOfInvention Hydrogel of polyalkylene oxide block copolymer containing fluorine or silicon, and contact lens using the same
abstract (57) [Summary] [Structure] A copolymer having excellent oxygen permeability, flexibility, wettability, and biocompatibility, which is suitable for use in ophthalmic devices such as contact lenses. ~ 69. 9% by weight of vinyl telechelic polyether or a mixture thereof, (B) 30 to 84.9% by weight of (B-1) a fluorinated ethylenically unsaturated monomer, or (B- 2) Silicon-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer, or a mixture thereof, (C) 0-40% by weight of monomer (B- 1) or an ethylenically unsaturated monomer other than the monomer (B-2), or a mixture of the above monomers, and (D) 0. A copolymer comprising a polymerization product obtained by using 1 to 10% by weight of a polyethylene unsaturated copolymer having a molecular weight of 200 to 1,000. [Effect] The soft contact lens produced by using the above-mentioned copolymer has excellent oxygen permeability as compared with the commercially available poly-HEMA type lens.
