(57) [Summary] [Structure] 1,2,3-trichlorofluorobenzene is partially fluorine-exchanged to form a mixture of 2,6-difluorochlorobenzene and 2,3-difluorochlorobenzene, It is then selectively reduced to a mixture of 2,6-difluorochlorobenzene and ortho-difluorobenzene and aminated to 2,6-difluoroaniline. The unwanted 2,3-difluorochlorobenzene is converted to the useful ortho-difluorobenzene, avoiding the 2,3-difluoroaniline isomer. [Effect] 2,6-difluoroaniline can be completely and economically produced in good yield from commercially available starting materials. |
