titleOfInvention Production of dicarboxylic acid amide ester
abstract PURPOSE: To readily obtain the title compound for producing a photochromic compound, in high yield by reacting a dicarboxylic acid monoester as a raw material with a specific amine compound in the presence of a 2,6- dihalogenobenzoyl halide. n CONSTITUTION: A dicarboxylic acid monoester (e.g. succinic acid monomethyl ester) containing a group shown by the formula (R is hydrocarbon group) as a raw material is reacted with an amine compound (e.g. methylamine or dibenzylamine) containing amino group or imino group in the presence of a 2,6-dihalogenobenzoyl halide or a derivative thereof in an aprotic organic solvent, preferably chloroform to give the objective compound. 2,6-Dichlorobenzoyl chloride is used as the 2,6-dihalogenobenzoyl halide and the amount of the 2,6-dihalogenobenzoyl halide used is 1.0-5.0mol based 1mol of the raw material compound containing the group shown by the formula. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
