titleOfInvention Production of surface-modifiable liposome and surface-modified liposome
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a surface-modifiable liposome capable of immobilizing various substrates according to simple operation under mild conditions by embedding a long-chain active amide having hydrophilic leaving groups in a liposome bimolecular membrane. n CONSTITUTION: A surface-modifiable liposome is constructed from a compound expressed by the formula (R 1 is hydrophobic group; R 2 and R 3 are H, organic group or may be mutually linked to form a ring or double bond; Y is O or S; Z is hydrophilic group; W is linking group; n is 0 or 1) and a lipid capable of forming the liposome. The molar ratio of the compound expressed by the formula based on the total constituent material is preferably ≤50%, especially preferably ≤35%. A surface-modified liposome is obtained by mixing the above-mentioned liposome with a substrate having amino groups and/or thiol groups and immobilizing the aforementioned substrate on the surface thereof. A similar surface-modified liposome can be obtained by binding the compound expressed by the formula to the substrate having the amino groups and/or thiol groups and mixing the resultant compound with the lipid capable of forming the liposome. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
