titleOfInvention Binder for toner
abstract PURPOSE: To enhance transparency without changing low temperature fixability and offset resistance by reacting polybasic acid with polyol in the presence of polyolefin to obtain a polyester resin to be used for the toner binder. n CONSTITUTION: The polyester resin to be used for the toner binder is obtained by reacting the polybasic acid, such as terephthalic acid or isophthalic acid, with the polyol, such as ethylene glycol or diethylene glycol, in the presence of the polyolefin, such as polyethlene or polypropylene, having a molecular weight of 1,500 - 15,000, and if it is ≤1,500, offset resistance is lost, and if it is ≥15,000, transparency is reduced and practicability is lessened, thus permitting transparency to be enhanced without deteriorating low temperature fixability and offset resistance. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
