titleOfInvention Sintering type cadmium negative electrode for alkaline storage battery
abstract PURPOSE: To offer a sintering type cadmium negative electrode able to prevent lowering of a rapid charging property by dipping a porous nickel sintered substrate filled with cadmium oxide in an indium salt solution, drying and alkaline treating to add indium hydroxide to the substrate. n CONSTITUTION: A porous nickel sintered substrate is dipped into a nitric acid cadmium water solution and then a series of active material filling operation for drying and alkaline treatment is performed. Further, this substrate is dipped into a sulphutic acid indium water solution, dried and alkaline treated to perform operation to invert it into indium hydroxide. Indium quantity is not less than 100ppm to active material weight. Cadmium negative electrode containing this indium hydroxide is subjected to chemical conversion treatment so as to obtain cadmium negative electrode. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
