titleOfInvention | Production of thermoset resin and curable composition used in the same production |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a thermoset resin excellent in heat resistance, etc., in good workability by mixing a specified allylimide compound with an ethylenically unsaturated reactive diluent in a specified weight ratio and reacting the obtained mixture by heating in the presence of a free-radical catalyst. n CONSTITUTION: One pt.wt. allylamide compound of formula I [wherein n is 1 or greater; R 1 is H or methyl; R 2 is -O-allyl- or -O-methallyl when n=1, or a residue of an n-valent polyhydroxy compound which may contain an atom of a different kind when n≥2), e.g. a compound of formula II, is mixed with 0.1-10 pts.wt. ethylenically unsaturated reactive diluent (e.g. triallyl isocyanurate) are prepared. A thermoset resin is obtained by reacting the obtained solventless, easily handleable thermosetting composition by heating in the presence of a free-radical catalyst (e.g. benzoyl peroxide). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
