abstract PURPOSE: To provide an antistatic polymer dispersion which improves photosensitive film in water resistance and in antistatic behavior after photographic development when the dispersion is applied to the film by polymerizing two specific monomers in a mixed solvent of water and a water-missible organic solvent. n CONSTITUTION: The title dispersion is prepared by polymerizing not less than 40wt.% polymerizable vinyl monomer having (a salt of) sulfonic acid group, selected from p-styrenesulfonic acid, alkali metal salts and ammonium salts thereof, 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid, alkali metal salts and ammonium salts thereof, salts thereof neutralized with organic amines, and sodium 2-sulfoethyl(meth)acrylate, 10wt.% monomer represented by the formula (wherein R 1 and R 2 are each H or CH 3 ; R 3 is H or a 1-8C alkyl) and, if necessary, a polymerizable monomer that is a monomer preferably having an acidic group and a polymerizable double bond in the molecule, in a mixed solvent consisting of water and a water-missible organic solvent. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
