titleOfInvention | Novel water-soluble vitamin k derivative and its production |
abstract | NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (X is group of formula II or formula III, or its pharmacologically permissible salt. n EXAMPLE: Phyllohydroquinone-di-hemifumarate disodium salt. n USE: A medicine. A medicine of a stable water-soluble reduced-type vitamin K, capable of solubilizing vitamin K without using a surfactant and a dissolution assistant, reducible in living body to exhibit the activity of reduced-type vitamin K and useful as a preventive and therapeutic agent for diseases or symptoms caused by the deficiency of vitamin K. It is also used as a preparation containing a fat-soluble vitamin K in the form soluble in water. n PREPARATION: The objective compound of formula I can be produced either by condensing a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III in a solvent in the presence of a base or by carrying out the condensation reaction and deprotection reaction. The starting compound of formula II can easily be produced at a low cost by reducing phylloquinone or menaquinone. The compound of formula I can be converted to the salt by reacting with a salt such as a solution of NaOH. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
