abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title material improved in flame retardancy, fire resistance, weathering resistance and adhesiveness by mixing polychloroprene with a polyurethane-forming component, a hydrated metal oxide, powdery melamine, a polyammonium phosphate, a silicone and powdery silica. n CONSTITUTION: A liquid polychloroprene desirably terminated with a hydroxylic functional group and having a number-average molecular weight of 12,000 or below and a Brookfield viscosity at room temperature of 2,500P or below is mixed with 100-250pts.wt. liquid polyurethane forming component comprising a polyol and a polyisocyanate, 100-300pts.wt. hydrated metal oxide desirably having a mean particle diameter of 0.05-50μm, 5-100pts.wt. powdery melamine, 5-100pts.wt. polyammonium phosphate, 5-50pts.wt. liquid silicone, 2-50pts.wt. powdery silica of a mean particle diameter of 0.5-10μm and optionally a flame retardant, an antioxidant, a processing aid, a colorant, a tackifier, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
