titleOfInvention Phenylmercaptoazole compound
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A phenylmercaptoazole compound expressed by formula I (A is-CH= or-N=; B is-CH=, formula II or-N=; X is formula III, IV or V; Y is 2-3C alkylene chain ; (n) is 0 or 1; (m) is 0 or 1, the binding position of formula IV in the phenyl group is the 3-or 4-position relatively to the heterocyclic ring) and salts or lower alkyl esters thereof. n EXAMPLE: 4-(3-Phosphonophenyl)-3-methyl-5-mercaptotriazole. n USE: Useful as an anti-fog agent for silver halide photosensitive materials and capable of effectively suppressing the occurrence of fog while reducing deterioration in sensitivity. n PREPARATION: An aromatic compound having phosphonic acid or an ester part thereof is used as a starting raw material to afford the objective compound expressed by formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
