titleOfInvention Photosensitive and pressure sensitive medium
abstract PURPOSE: To enhance the black density and quality of an image by enclosing dye precursors to be hardened by each of red light, green light, and blue light and the dye precursor to be hardened by at least one of these colors and allowed to develop black color. n CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive and pressure sensitive medium bearing four kinds of microcapsules 3 is exposed to light past an original image or reflected from it. The yellow capsules Y is hardened by the blue light, likewise the magenta capsules M by the green light, and the cyan capsules C by the red light. On the other hand, the black capsules Bk is hardened by any color light, i.e., panchromatically hardened. The unexposed part, that is, the capsules Bk corresponding to the black part of the the original is left not hardened. The hardened capsules Bk is deformed by pressing but not broken, but the unhardened capsules Bk is urst by pressure development and releases the enclosed materials. The enclosed leuco dye precursor 12 breaks the walls 10 of the capsules Bk and flows into a color developing agent layer and the lactone ring of the precursor 12 is opened by the color developing agent and the precursor 12 is allowed to develop color. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
