abstract NEW MATERIAL:A phenylthioalkanoic acid amide derivative of formula I (R 1 is fluoroalkyl; X, Y, Z are same or different and are H, halogen or lower alkyl; A is alkylene; m is 0, 1, 2). n EXAMPLE: N-(2,2,2-Trifluoroethyl)-2-(2-methylphenylthio)propionam-ide. n USE: The derivative of formula I has excellent muscle-relaxing action and rigidity remission action and is useful as a remedy for anethesia muscle spasms accompanied with locomotorium diseases, such as lumbago, back ache and herniated disk and also as a remedy for spasmodic paralysis such as cerebrovascular disorders. n PREPARATION: A phenylthioalkanoic acid of formula II or an active compound thereof and a fluoroalkylamine of formula III are subjected to an usual amide linkage-forming reaction to prepare the compound of formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
