titleOfInvention Flame-retarding resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a resin composition improved in compatibility with a synthetic resin and flame retardancy by mixing the resin with an inorganic powder surface-treated with a phosphoric ester. n CONSTITUTION: 100 pts.wt. synthetic resin (e.g. PE, PP or polyester) is mixed with 50-200 pts.wt. inorganic powder (e.g. aluminum hydroxide or sodium bicarbonate) surface-treated with a phosphoric ester (e.g. triethyl phosphate or cresyl phenyl phosphate). By using this powder, a resin composition improved in compatibility with the synthetic resin and having high flame retardancy can be obtained. When a flame retardant, desirably a halogenous flame retardant is added thereto, a resin composition having still higher flame retardancy can be obtained. This composition can give a foam by adding a blowing agent thereto. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
