titleOfInvention Decomposition treatment of drainage containing triorganotin compound
abstract PURPOSE: To rapidly efficiently decompose and treat triorganotin compd. contained in drainage strong in toxicity by utilizing hypochlorite and metallic oxide. n CONSTITUTION: Hypochlorite is added to drainage contg. triorganotin compd. Thereafter or at the same time with addition thereof, drainage is brought into contact with metallic oxide having capacity for decomposing hypochlorite. Thereby the Sn-C bond of triorganotin compd. is cloven by nascent oxygen which is generated by rapid deomposition of hypochlorite and drainage is decomposed and treated. As hypochlorite, alkali metallic salt or alkaline earth metallic salt are shown. The aq. soln. of sodium hypochlorite, potassium hypochlorite or calcium hypochlorite is ordinarily utilized. As metallic oxide having performance for decomposing hypochlorite, oxide of metal such as copper, cobalt, nickel, manganese, molybdenum, vanadium, iridium, palladium, ruthenium and platinum is shown. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
