titleOfInvention Nonlinear optical material
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the org. nonlinear optical material having a high nonlinear optical constant by constituting the nonlinear optical material of a specific compd. n CONSTITUTION: The nonlinear optical material is formed of the compd. expressed by I (where R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , and R 4 respectively independently denote 1 to 22C alkyl group, 1 to 22C hydroxyalkyl group or 6 to 10C aryl group; R 5 , R 6 , R 7 , R 8 , R 9 , R 10 , R 11 , and R 12 respectively independently denote a hydrogen atom, 1 to 10C alkyl group, 1 to 10C alkoxy group, halogen atom or cyano group; X denotes an oxygen atom, sulfur atom or alkyl group, aryl group, acyl group or imino group substd. or unsubstd. with an alkoxycarbonyl group). The acceptor group and the donor group are parted by the double bonds with the conjugated benzene ring in this way, by which a large bipole moment is obtd. (particularly the bipole moment in an excited state) and, therefore, the high nonlinear sensitivity is obtd. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
