abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a large electron beam reflection ability and a large thermal radiation ability by making bismuth oxide particles and tungsten particles coexistent in an electron beam reflecting cost. n CONSTITUTION: Pure water and bismuth oxide powder 7a are added to water glass 7b, which is a mixture of sodium water glass and potassium water glass and has a mixing ratio of 3:1 to 30:1, then pulverization and stirring are carried out for making the average diameter of the powder 7a in a coat material to 1μm. Thereafter, tungsten powder 7c with the average diameter of 0.1 to 10μm is added as the weight of powder 7c takes 70% to 90% of the total weight of the powder 7a and the powder 7c, then the coat material is adjusted by stirring the coat material ingredient to disperse uniformly. This coat is applied to an electron beam radiation side of a shadow mask 3 with a coat thickness as to prevent electron beam from transmission, and dried.
