titleOfInvention Production of phenoxyamines
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compounds useful as an intermediate raw material for medicines, agricultural chemicals, etc., in high yield by reacting alkali metallic salts of phenols with hydroxylamine-O-sulfonic acid in a specific solvent. n CONSTITUTION: Alkali metallic salts of phenols are reacted with hydroxylamine- O-sulfonic acid in a mixed solvent of a water-soluble organic solvent (e.g. isopropanol) and water at 60-150°C for 0.1-10hr to afford phenoxyamines. The alkali metallic salts of the phenols are obtained by reacting the corresponding phenols (e.g. dichlorophenol) with an alkali hydroxide (e.g. NaOH). The hydroxylamine-O-sulfonic acid is used in a molar amount of 0.05-1 based on the alkali metallic salts of the phenols. The water-soluble organic solvent is used in an amount of 0.1-10 times based on the phenols. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
