abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the title esters capable of readily recovering and re-using enzyme without causing hydrolysis unnecessary to an ester by reacting a specific compound with the ester in the presence of an enzyme and carrying out asymmetric ester exchange reaction. n CONSTITUTION: A racemic compound expressed by formula I [R is 1-5C alkyl ; A is 1-20C alkyl, perfluorophenyl or group expressed by formula II (n is 0 or 1; R 1 and R 2 are halogen, OH group, 1-20C alkyl, alkoxy, amino or H)] is reacted with an ester in the presence or absence of an enzyme (preferably lipase) under conditions substantially free from water content and asymmetric ester reaction is carried out and the racemic compound is resolved into an optically active alcohol rich in either one of R body or S body expressed by formula III and ester body of enantiomer to provide the aimed esters. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
