titleOfInvention | Polyester of bicyclohexanedicarboxylic acid |
abstract | PURPOSE: To provide the subject polyester having a specific structure, a logarithmic viscosity falling within a specific range and excellent in stability, liquid crystal property and heat-resistance and useful as a resin, etc. n CONSTITUTION: The objective polyester has a logarithmic viscosity number of 0.2-2.0 di/g and contains (A) a structural unit of formula I (the group of formula II is trans- or cis-cyclohexylene) and (B) a structural unit of formula III [X is CH 3 , C(CH 3 ) 3 , C 6 H 5 , H or Cl]. The polyester can be produced e.g. by reacting 4,4'-bicyclohexanedicarboxylic acid dichloride with hydroquinone in a solvent such as 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
