titleOfInvention Azo dye for thermal transfer printing
abstract PURPOSE: To make azo dyes for thermal transfer printing more approximate to a required property profile as compared with the case of dyes known heretofore by constituting the azo dyes of a specific compd. n CONSTITUTION: Azo dyes for thermal transfer printing are represented by the formula (wherein R 1 is a hydrogen atom, a 1-15C alkyl group capable of having phenyl or phenoxy as a substituent or the like; and R 2 and R 3 are a hydrogen atom, an alkoxy group which may have up to 15C-atoms and can have phenyl, 1-4C alkyl phenyl or the like as a substituent or the like). Further, the azo dyes are transferred by diffusing a carrier on a support coated with plastic by using a thermal head. By this constitution, the azo dyes approximate to a required property profile as compared with the case of dyes known heretofore are obtained. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO
