titleOfInvention | Polyarylene sulfide resin composition |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a polyarylene sulfide resin composition having improved fluidity and moldability and reduced occurrence of burr during injection molding without damaging characteristics such as mechanical strength and heat resistance. n CONSTITUTION: 100 pts.wt. total amount of (A) 99-41wt.% polyarylene sulfide (e.g. polyphenylene sulfide) having 50-40,000 poise melt viscosity and ≥1.05, especially 14-1.8 branch index N shown by the formula (R)ηL is melt viscosity of straight-chain PAS; η m is melt viscosity of branched PAS; γ is shear rate) and (B) 1-59wt.% liquid crystalline polymer are blended with (C) 5-500 pts.wt., preferably 10-300 pts.wt. fibrous filler and/or powdery or granular filler (e.g. calcium carbonate or magnesium carbonate). Glass fibers, carbon fibers alone or a mixture thereof with powdery or granular filler are preferable as the filler. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
