| abstract | PURPOSE: To provide a head rest free from unpleasant feeling due to a hardness difference between a soft urethane section and a molded urethane section, when a fabric or vinyl chloride leather cover is applied to a head rest comprising soft urethane and molded urethane sections, and the boundary of the sections is touched via the cover. n CONSTITUTION: A hetero-hardness head rest 10 has a soft urethane section 11 coupled into the recess 12a of a molded urethane section 12, and a sewn cover 25 is applied to conceal the head rest 10. In this head rest 10, the soft urethane section 11 is projected from the molded urethane section 12 to form a stepped section 13.
