abstract PURPOSE: To provide a head rest free from a crack at the corner of a gap between a soft urethane section and a body urethane section constituting the head rest, when a cover is applied thereto or even an external force acts thereupon. n CONSTITUTION: A soft urethane section 11 is laid within a recess 13 formed in a body urethane section 12, so that the side of the section 11 forms a gap 14 with the side wall 13b of the recess 13. The bottom 13a of the recess 13 in the section 12 is solidified with the side of the soft urethane section 11 in contact therewith via an impregnation process. Also, a plurality of joint pieces 15 projected from the body urethane section 12 and solidified with the soft urethane section 11 via an impregnation process are arranged at suitable intervals in the gap 14 between the side wall 13b of the recess 13 and the side of the soft urethane section 11. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
