titleOfInvention Sulfonylalkanoic acid amide derivative
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound useful as a treating agent for painful muscle spasm following locomotorium diseases such as dorsolumbar pain or herniated disk, having muscle relaxing action, rigidity remitting action and a treating agent for spastic paralysis such as cerebrovascular disorder. n CONSTITUTION: A compound shown by formula I (X is halogen; Y is H or halogen) such as N-cyclopropyl-2-(2-boromophenylsulfonyl)propionamide. The compound shown by formula I is obtained by reacting a phenylthioalkanoic acid shown by formula II or an active derivative thereof with cyclopropylamine to give a sulfide compound shown by formula III. Then this compound shown by formula III is reacted with an oxidizing agent (e.g. m-chlorobenzoic acid) shown by formula III in a solvent such as dichloromethane at 0-150°C to give a drug having durability and low side effects. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
