PURPOSE: To produce an ophthalmic preparation used for preventing or treating eye infectious diseases caused by microorganisms having membranes comprising chitin, such as Acanthamoeba or fungi, and capable of being used for the sterilization and storage of contact lenses. n CONSTITUTION: The ophthalmic preparation contains a sterilizer capable of being used for ophthalmic treatments and an enzyme having an ability to decompose chitin. The ophthalmic preparation can prevent or treat infectious diseases caused by Acanthamoeba, etc., and also effectively remove the contamination of contact lenses by the Acanthamoeba, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
