titleOfInvention Production of antibacterial polypeptide
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a novel transformant combined with a gene coding a specific antibacterial polypeptide and capable of massively producing the antibacterial protein, sarcotoxin I, at a low cost. n CONSTITUTION: A basic sequence coding an antibacterial polypeptide having amino acid sequences of the formulas is combined with a replicable manifestation vector to produce a replicable recombined DNA having the basic sequence and the replicable manifestation vector. A microorganism is transformed with the recombined DNA to provide a recombinant. The characteristics of the amino acid; the length of the sequence of the amino acid: 39; the type of the sequence: amino acid; topology: linear; the kind of the sequence: genomic DNA; sequence: a sequence having amino acid sequences of the formulas. The transformant includes Saccharomyces cerevisiae YT21 (FERM p-12238). The transformant is e.g. produced by combining the gene of sarcotoxin IA obtained from Sarcophaga peregrina fat body with a vector pAM82B and subsequently transforming a yeast SHY2 with the produced plasmid pAM82B-TI. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
