abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the title material alternative to the expensive Teflon resin by graft polymerization of an epoxy group-contg. polymerizable monomer to to a polymeric form by the action of ionizing radiation and by fixation of a fluorine-contg. compound to the side chain of the resultant polymer. n CONSTITUTION: An epoxy group-contg. polymerizable monomer is put to graft polymerization to a polymeric form [pref. olefin or halogenated olefin(co) polymer} by the action of ionizing radiation (pref. α-rays, β-rays, γ-rays, accelerated electron beams, X-rays or ultraviolet rays). A fluorine-contg. compound (e.g.trifluoroacetic acid, 2-fluoroaniline) is then fixed to the side chain of the resulting graft polymer, thus giving the objective novel material useful for using as a field for the reaction of hydrophobic polymeric materials or as a resin for separation and purification. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
