abstract | PURPOSE: To improve the analysis accuracy of furan and furan derivative to accurately diagnose lifetime of electric equipment by using mixture solution of methanol and phosphoric acid buffer solution as mobile phase of liquid chro matograph. n CONSTITUTION: For example, analysis of seven component of 2 carboxylic acid furan, 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furfural, furfural, furfuryl alcohol, 3-carboxylic acid furan, 2-furan acetate, 5-methyl-2-furfural, which are generated by deviation of the insulating paper to be used for electric equipment or the like, is performed with liquid chromatograph. At this stage, two kinds of mobile phase of phosphoric acid buffer solution at pH 4.5 and phosphoric acid buffer solution at pH 7.0 are used to perform the analysis.
