titleOfInvention Seat for vehicle and manufacture thereof
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a vehicle seat not giving so-called a feeling of bottom touch and its manufacture capable of shortening the manufacturing process by reducing the number of part items. n CONSTITUTION: To a holder plate 16 and holder cover 20 forming a seating face of a vehicle seat, the end part of elastic fiber 24 is fixedly applied to form a net-like seating part. The holder plate 16 and holder cover 20 are hung diagonally upward with other elastic fiber 26. The elastic fiber 24, 26 hung in that way is polymerized with urethane foam to form a cushion member 12 out of an urethane pad 44. On the other hand, a spring 82 pulls the holder cover 20 diagonally downward to eliminate bending by giving initial tension to the elastic fiber 24. The vehicle seat formed in that way bends downward in a prescribed bending curve when the occupant s body weight acts. But both the end parts of the elastic fiber 24 are hung diagonally upward with the elastic fiber 26 so that the bending curve becomes nearly linear and does not give a feeling of bottom touch. The elastic fiber 24, 26 and the urethane pad 44 can be integrally molded so as to shorten the manufacturing process. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
