abstract |
PURPOSE:To provide hose having high resistance to permeation or moisture and weatherability by a method wherein the major rubber component of the hose concerned consists of copolymer rubber having isobutylene unit and p- halogenated methylstyrene unit and/or copolymer rubber having p-methylstyrene unit in addition to the respective above-mentioned units. CONSTITUTION:The refrigerant transporting hose concerned is used for the air conditioner of an automobile and has at least inner tube, reinforcing layer and outer tube. At least, the outer tube is made of the vulcanizate of rubber composition, the major rubber component of which consists of copolymer rubber A having isobutylene unit and p-halogenated methylstyrene unit as shown by the formula I and/or copolymer rubber B having p-methylstyrene unit in addition to the above-mentioned isobutylene unit and p-halogenated methylstyrene unit as shown by the formula II. Further, the p-halogenated methylstyrene unit in the copolymer rubber A and the sum of the p-halogenated methylstyrene unit and p-methylstyrene unit are respectively set to be 1-15wt.%. |
