abstract | PURPOSE: To enhance sensitivity, to enlarge exposure latitude, and to enable handling under lighter safelight by incorporating a specified compound in an emulsion layer unit and spectrally sensitizing the unit in lights in various visible spectra and infrared spectra. n CONSTITUTION: Each emulsion layer contains a specified coupler and at least each of 2 of the unit contains thiocyanate or the like and a cyanine dye represented by formula I and each is spectrally sensitized in different visible spectra and infrared spectra.
