PURPOSE: To provide a thermoplastic composition of high filler content which contains a dispersant for improving the compatibility between a finely powdered mineral filler and a thermoplastic resin and has low viscosity and an increased melt flow index. n CONSTITUTION: (a) A thermoplastic resin containing polystyrene (derivative) is incorporated with (b) 5-85 wt.%, based on the sum of (a) and (b), of a finely powdered mineral filler (example: natural or precipitated calcium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide, etc.), and (c) 0.5-5 wt.%, based on the weight of the filler, of a dispersant expressed by formula I {A is polyaryl group; (x), (y) are each intergers of 0-100 and x+y is 1-100; X is H, formula II, formula III [R 1 is H, formula IV (B is polyaryl, alkyl or the like; x 1 , y 1 are each 0-100 and x 1 +y 1 is 1-100); R 2 is H, formula V (E is polyaryl, alkyl or the like; x 2 , y 2 are each integers of 0-100 and x 2 +y 2 is 1-100)]}. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO |
